Today we're releasing a handful feature and some speed improvements in Drag.
⌨️ Edit email subject line:
Just like in traditional Gmail, when replying to an email, you can now use the dropdown menu next to the email recipient field to change the subject line of that email.
Changing the email subject will generate a new email thread (and their respective card on Drag), just like in normal Gmail too.

🚄 Speed improvements:
We have been working on a series of speed improvements across Drag based on feedback from our users. These are just 2 of the many improvements we will announce over the coming weeks:
Faster "Send & Close" experience.
Faster loading of the compose box when replying to emails.
From today, the email templates you have created in the Drag Chrome Extension are now available to be used while composing emails from our mobile apps.
To use email templates from the mobile app, just click on "reply/ reply all" from any email to open the compose box, then use the template button (folder icon) located on the bottom right. Automations

[v15.6.4] SLA rules 🔥

This week we are very excited to announce SLA rules in Drag. (Read more).
🤖 SLA automation rules
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) help manage customer expectations and keep your team accountable for timely responses. Drag helps you improve time management to optimize response times even if you don't have formalised SLAs with clients, using a combination of features, from automation rules to reports.
Set reply time goals, view reports on late replies, get notified when replies are overdue or get a heads up when a SLA breach is about to happen and more.

🔔 SLA-based reminders
Similarly, you can also use custom notifications to send reminders to relevant users when there's an SLA breach or even before a conversation is due.

[v15.6.3] Improved formatting for email notes and templates

This week we are releasing improvements in email notes (and email templates). Users have now richer options to format them, from different fonts to uploading inline images.
🖍️ New formatting for email notes
Until today, email notes were comprised of only text. With today's release, users can build much more comprehensive email notes inside cards, to visualize and access important information faster.

Improvements:
  • Added "Reply to all / Reply / Forward" buttons on the bottom of email threads like in traditional Gmail to avoid users needing to scroll all the way up to make these actions.
Fixes:
-Fixed compose box crashing when an empty email draft was open when clicking on 'reply/forward'.
This week we are making Drag automations even more powerful with:
Custom notifications
You can now notify all board members or specific users in real time when pre-defined actions are taken on Drag workspaces with custom notifications. Bring important actions to your attention and stay on top of everything you need to.
notifications
Custom notifications load in the Priority tab of the notifications log and can be access from the bell icon on the top right of your screen. The name of the automation rule that generated the notification will be displayed.
Load Balancer Auto-assignment
We are broadening the way you can distribute cards to team members to maximize efficiency and decrease response times. From today, you can also assign cards in a Load Balancer manner.
Load Balancers identify the users with the least amount of open or pending cards and automatically assign more cards to them, ensuring that users have a consistently even workload.

Improvements:
- Improved activity log speed (10x faster now 🤯).
From today, we are making change card status available as an action in Drag's automation rules.
In addition, we are making it easier to navigate across search results and reports.
New automation action & trigger: "change status"
Today we are releasing a new action and new trigger in Drag based on changing card status. This means you can automatically change the status of cards based on specific triggers in your workflow or trigger actions based on changes in card statuses.

"Open as new tab" in reports table:
We are making it easier to dive into the details of specific cards displayed on your reports tables. Simply click on the card title and its detail page will open on a new tab. This way you can easily clarify questions / outliers in reports or simply look for the details in a specific card or group of cards.

"Open as new tab" in search results:
A similar functionality is also available in the search results from today. An "open as new tab" button next to each result allows you to, for example, open many search results at the same time without needing to perform the search multiple times.

Fixes:
  • Automatically pause automations when a card is marked as 'closed'.
  • When using 'move to' automation in conjunction with another action (eg. "apply tag"), fetch correct options (eg. tags, assignees, etc) from destination board.
Card statuses serve as another layer of management for your workspaces. Read more about card status here.
Card status:
Every card on Drag workspaces now has one of 3 different statuses: open, pending and closed.
  • Open
: This is the initial status of an email that is received or a task that is created. It indicates that the card is waiting to be handled.
  • Pending
: You can mark a card as pending to put it on hold if, for example, you’re waiting to hear back from a customer or you just need time to gather more information.
  • Closed
: It indicates that you are finished with a card. Whenever a Closed card gets a new email reply, it will automatically marked as Open again.

"Send & Close" button:
We are also introducing a new button inside the compose box that you can use when replying to emails. The "Send & Close" button sends your reply and automatically changes the status of that conversation to 'Closed'.
send-and-close
Status reports:
Last but not least, reports now also brings information about the amount of cards closed, as well as resolution times (ie. the time elapsed between a card being received/ created until it's marked as closed).

"Pending" and "Closed" workspace views
You can easy view all pending and closed cards on a workspace by using the pre-defined filtered views under the dropdown menus for each workspace

Improvements:
  • Can now filter workspaces by card status.
  • Users can now go to the notifications settings page directly from the notifications tab by clicking on the new cog button.

  • Previously, merged cards were unmerged when they got archived. Now they remain merged when archived, unarchived, snoozed or unsnoozed.
  • Fixed unassigning not working when card has more than 3 assignments.
  • Fixed merged cards not showing on subboards / filter.
We're revamping our activity log and introducing notifications settings.
New activity log:
Our new activity log is comprised of 2 tabs:
Priority
and
All
. While the 'All' tab logs every event made across all workspaces, the 'Priority' tab only shows the events considered as more important. Read more about notifications here.
Only notifications from the Priority tab are taken into account for the notification number on the bell icon.

Notifications settings:
You can now customize your notifications by going to the Drag dashboard > settings > notification settings.
